Sandra
Bee is most known as Petronella from
BBC2s Brothers and Sisters.
Sandra Bee is rapidly establishing herself as one of the most
popular and exciting performers of her generation, in both the comedy
and drama fields. Her bright personality and cheeky grin have won the
affections of many. She has already attracted huge attention and a wide
fan base for her portrayal of Petronella, the dancehall queen
who took the first series of BBC2s hit drama series Brothers and
Sisters by storm.
A mark of Sandras dramatic
and emotive acting ability came about in top dramas in Casualty, The
Bill, Murder of Stephen Lawrence, In Defence and The Knock.
Sandra versatility came to
the fore when she created the character of feisty teenager Shaniqua
for a striking two-drama monologue piece in Crucial Films windrush Still
Here series for the BBC.
On
a lighter note, Sandra made good use of the chance to display a whole
range of comical characters, ranging from sophisticated to streetwise,
when she started in the fast moving sketch show Waiting To Inhale
which ran for two sell-out seasons at The Theatre Royal Stratford East
before going on a highly successful tour.
The dual roles of Princess
and Sorceress in the New Peckham Variety Theatres Snow Queen
demonstrated both her commitment to supporting community theatres and
also her rapport with young audiences while, in addition to her TV popularity,
Sandra has also built a sizeable following on the comedy circuit.
