| Synopsis
Colour Blind is the story of three friends growing up in the rough, inner-city. J.C. and his family, recently arrived Asian immigrants, are quickly befriended by Jeffery an African-American young boy and his father, an inspiring surgeon. Jefferys father quickly instils the idea that education will take J.C. and Jeffery out of their rough neighbourhood and on their way to the American Dream. J.C. and Jefferys friend Joey, lives across the street. Joey is the child of a single mother who battles with abusive relationships, living off welfare, and drug abuse. Jeffery and J.C.s families become like a surrogate family to Joey, as he battles with his own familys disfunction. We next meet the boys as they are in the cusp of adulthood. All crossed the threshold into manhood in different ways. Jeffery professes his love to his high school girlfriend before venturing off to the Air Force Academy to reach his dream of becoming a pilot. J.C. battles with his girlfriends over-protective mother and the thugs of the neighbourhood, while managing to keep on the straight and narrow. Joey though, has fallen in with a rough, dangerous crowd. To try and encourage Joey away from a life of crime, J.C. and Jeffery make a fateful decision and encourage Joey to work with them cleaning office buildings at night with J.C.s dad. Joey, attracted by pretty girls, nice cars and easy money, soon turns on his friends in an attempt to make a quick buck. Joeys actions lead to consequences that will change all of their lives forever. The three boys, one Hispanic, one Asian-American and one African-American form a bond like a family that the pressures of inner-city life will not break. This is the story of Colour Blind, a film by Davon/Vansay Production Contact
