Singer songwriter Ciyo launches his latest exciting CD, 'Borderline' at an evening event that will showcase the album on Wednesday 6th November 2002 at Club West One Four (formerly The Orange), 3 Northend Crescent, West Kensington.

Doors open at 7:00pm and the performance commences at 8:00pm. Tickets are £7.50 (advance purchase) and £10 on the door and are available from the Santeria Box office on 020 7787 2394 or website www.santeriaboxoffice.com.

The launch show promises to be an exciting event and will highlight original compositions from the album backed by some of London's top musicians.

Ciyo's compositional skills and true musical integrity shines through on this album which largely consists of inspirational song. As Ciyo explains, "this particular project has been motivated by my desire to address real feelings and situations in life and to communicate hope through the lyrics and music".

With a soulful R&B sound and jazz overtones, 'Borderline' demonstrates Ciyo's sheer versatility both as a guitarist and vocalist.

With a wealth of experience behind him, Ciyo's musical influences include the likes of George Benson and Stevie Wonder and throughout his career he has worked with artists such as Annie Lennox, Courtney Pine, Steel Pulse and Jean Carne to name a few.

Ciyo's new album, 'Borderline', consists mainly of original voice-led compositions with some guitar-led instrumentals. It can aptly be described as an inspirational set consisting of soul and R&B flavours with tinges of jazz.

The album was performed by his current band which consists of some of London's finest musicians. A host of other excellent musicians have also appeared as guests on the new album.
