V.O.I.C.Express is the official monthly fundraiser for the peoples charityHearts to Africa. in 2004 V.O.I.C.Express raised an excess of £800 that directly helped to benifit children and their families in The Gambia, West Africa. on monday 7th of february we all chipped in to raise £93.58 which was exactly £0.27p less than our january figure. we managed to raise £124 in november 2004 and can reach these totals again with ease. some people are putting in for others and others are not representing. we CAN do better, however, we do give thanks for the continuous support from you because indeed without your support we would have nothing!

on monday we gave away 19 Hearts to Africa dvd's and 10 t-shirts. the dvd's detail the Hearts to Africa/Gambian experience and will provide you with full insight of what thetrip is all about. our wish is that you will spread the word about the charity whether by word of mouth, inviting people along next month [march 7th] or by copying the dvd [those of you who have access to the facilities]. Hearts to Africa also has an article out in this weeks New Nation Newspaper page 3. check it out and respond to the call. we seek membership and community initiatives to help us raise more funds for our 2005 trip in december. get involved...

a special thank you goes out to the sisters who came through with stationary and office equipment for our sisters and brothers in The Gambia. the many pens, pencils, calculators, mouse mats and accessories are indeed a token of your thoughts and concideration. with first hand experience, i can tell you that this gifts will be greatly appreciated. imagine how you would feel actually giving these gifts directly to the pupils of the schools within the villages. recieving the headmasters gratification and the parents acknowledgements. we hope that you may all wish to travel with us in the near feature.

"Hi shortMAN,
You're so sweet. Yes, I love the tape. I did well but I have to work on my breathing and I know last night just general presentation but I can deal with that because I am blessed to even be here to do what I have done so I give thanks to the higher forces and thanks for the space that you have created. Love the CD too. I am going to share both with my little one tonight. Girls night in before the box and CDplayer. You take care and nuf blessins. ps I not only voted for you but voted on behalf of my twogirls..." Dimela Yekwai

"Well done bruv. Great show. God bless." VERB S.W.I.S.H

"To shortMAN. This is just a quick email to say thanks for all of the info and events that you send me and although I am not always able to attend I do appreciated the up dates about what is going on. Every time I do get to attend I am more than happy to witness the talents of you and the other poets, singers and rappers. I sit back and allow my being to be cleansed by all of the knowledge and vibes in the room. I hope I will be able to become more involved in these events and performances in the future." Makeda

"V.O.I.C.Express is an intimate night of creative energy that has a mixture of familiar faces as well as amazing new talent. It is wonderful to see how the younger generation are dispelling negative stereotypes by expressing themselves in this productive environment. V.O.I.C.Express is the place to be as artists feel free to express their creativity in this homelyenvironment." DonDaMic
